About SuperNumber

A free, independent way to find the numbers behind your super fund.

Every time you start a new job, switch funds, or fill in a super choice form, you need the same handful of numbers: your fund's USI, its ABN, sometimes a SPIN, RSE or AFSL. They're not hard to find individually, but tracking one down often means digging through a PDS, calling your fund, or searching half a dozen government pages.

SuperNumber exists to put all of it in one place. Search for your fund, and you'll get every identifier it holds, plus plain-language notes if the fund has merged, closed, or changed its name — which happens more often in Australian super than most people realise.

What we cover

We list identifiers for every APRA-regulated superannuation fund in Australia, including corporate sub-plans, industry funds, retail products and legacy funds that have since merged into larger entities. Where a fund has closed or been absorbed by another, we say so, and point you to where your account has gone — see our list of recent mergers and closures.

If you're not sure what type of fund you have, our guide to fund types explains the difference between industry, retail, public sector, corporate and self-managed super funds. If you suspect you have an old account you've lost track of, see how to find lost super.

Why it's free

SuperNumber doesn't sell advice, doesn't take referral fees from super funds, and doesn't ask you to sign up. It's a reference tool, not a product. If a search engine took you here looking for one number, that's the job done.

Keeping it accurate

The superannuation industry consolidates constantly — dozens of funds have merged or closed in the past few years alone. We review and update fund details regularly to reflect current mergers, rebrands and closures, but if you spot something out of date, let us know and we'll fix it.
